Microsoft Do Not End Support For Windows XP

Microsoft Support and Updates ends for Windows XP on April 8th   2014

The reason Microsoft has given is this:

The time has come for us, along with our hardware and software partners, to invest our resources toward supporting more recent technologies so that we can continue to deliver great new experiences.

As a result, after April 8, 2014, technical assistance for Windows XP will no longer be available, including automatic updates that help protect your PC. Microsoft will also stop providing Microsoft Security Essentials for download on Windows XP on this date.

This leaves those who find XP the best system in the range ever created, easy to navigate, a good filing system etc., having tried Windows 7 and heard 8 is worse, and the horrible Vista which had a big thumbs down, with no alternative but to change our system from XP to windows 7 or  8.

The only other alternative which can be considered is buying a Mac computer, which Microsoft has nothing to do with creating or supporting.

Do you wish us to all go Mac, Microsoft? Are you keen to lose customers, because having spoken to many pc technicians and public they have all voted XP as the best system they have used, and as far as great new experiences with your newer Windows 7 and 8, in our opinion these are not better and are not a greater experience at all.

So we are asking you Microsoft: Will you please reconsider your plan to end support for this older system which we find so easy to navigate?
